Disc Brake Parts

Bringing a nitro powered R/C vehicle to a stop after a high-speed run can be a handful. Disc brakes have effectively solved that problem. Much like disc brakes on a full-size car, the system uses brake pads and brake rotors that are actuated by brake cams connected to linkage to apply force. Generally held in place by disk plate bolts into the differential mount. The brake system force is applied to the center drivetrain to provide stopping power. There are many types of cosmetic wheel disc brakes available for those who like to customize their R/C rides. These are only for show but some are very realistic with colored calipers and aluminum discs
